10 school works won in the competition of scientific projects among Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools in Shymkent

37 works were presented by pupils of Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools of Chemistry-Biology and Physics-Mathematics directions in Shymkent within the framework of the competition of Scientific projects. The results of the competition were summed up on April 26 - the International Day of Intellectual Property Protection. The organizers of the competition were: the Regional Chamber of Entrepreneurs in the South Kazakhstan Region, the branch of the RSE “NIIS”of MJ RK (National Institute of Intellectual Property), South Kazakhstan State Pharmaceutical Academy.

The best projects were selected: the work of the 11th F grade pupil of Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics, Askar Aybek “The development of technology and the study of “Osteochondrin S” treatment-and-prophylactic cosmetic cream; the work of the 11th K grade pupil of Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Chemistry  and Biology, Adele Keutayeva “Obtaining an alternative medicine from the local absinthe by studying and synthesizing essential oil with a rich chemical composition and sesquiterpene lactones”; the work of the 11th C grade pupil of Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Chemistry and Biology, Merei Momynkulova, “Bojogurt” from camel milk”. The authors of the best three works were awarded with valuable prizes - Ipad Air.

7 prizes of the second degree (e-books) were awarded for the following promising works: “The preparation of biologically active substances from the single-leaf Astragalus”, the author of the project Olzhas Kulakeyev is the 11th F grade pupil of NIS of Physics and Mathematics; “...”, the author of the project is the 10th B grade pupil Danagul Tursynbekova; FittyKid natural organic product line for children, the authors of the project are the 11th A grade pupils of NIS of Physics and Mathematics are Aruzhan Ashimova and Zhansaya Daurenbayeva; “Phytochemical analysis of the soil surface of Phlomis salicifolia growing in the Southern Kazakhstan” are the 10th A grade pupils of NIS of Physics and Mathematics - Aynur Aitmash, Ayazhan Abdumulik; “Influence of hydroponics on medicinal properties of chamomile” - the 11th K grade pupil of NIS of Chemistry and Biology, Ramilya Mammadova; “Products of the new generation. Production of kernel oil and activated carbon from fruit kernels”- the 7th L grade pupil of NIS of Chemistry and Biology, Marzhan Mutalova; “Obtaining a tea product based on Stevia herb grown in the South Kazakhstan Region, the Republic of Kazakhstan” – the 10th M grade pupil of NIS of Chemistry and Biology, Damir Mutalov.

Works were evaluated by the commission, which included: Marlen Yesirkepov, the Director of “Center for the Development of Science, Education and Business” LLP; Maksat Elibayev, the Director of the branch of RSE “NIIS” of MJ RK (National Institute of Intellectual Property); Berik Kenzhebayev, the Head of the Human Capital and Social Partnership Development Department of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of South Kazakhstan Region; Danail Dontchev, the Research and Development Director of JSC “Chimpharm”; Iveta Dance, the Head of the laboratory of JSC “Chimpharm”.

The scientific competition among Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools of Shymkent was held for the second time. In 2015, pupils submitted 24 works, and in 2017 the number of works increased to 37. This project was initiated by JSC “Chimpharm” (SANTO) within the framework of the educational project “SANTO Academic program”, the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of South Kazakhstan Region, Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools of Shymkent within the framework of Tripartite Memorandum on cooperation and development of dual education.

 The educational project “SANTO Academic program” was launched in 2013 to raise the quality of training of personnel for the pharmaceutical industry to the level of international standards. The project is carried out within the framework of the order of the Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev to attract business to the formation of curricula and methods and to meet the needs of Kazakhstan industry in professional personnel with international competencies for further development of innovations.

Within the framework of the “SANTO Academic Program” grants are allocated for scientists, pupils and students; seminars and trainings for the pharmaceutical industry are held; practical training is carried out in SANTO and Polpharma institutions; study tours to scientific and manufacturing sites are conducted.

Within the framework of the program, Memorandums have been concluded with the main partners of JSC “Chimpharm”: South Kazakhstan State Pharmaceutical Academy; Astana Medical University; Center of Life Sciences of Nazarbayev University; Nazarbayev Intellectual school of Chemistry and Biology in Shymkent; The Chamber of Entrepreneurs of South Kazakhstan Region; National Center of Expertise.

In addition to cooperation within the framework of the existing Memorandums, active cooperation in the development of the concept of dual education and improvement of the quality of training future specialists of the industry develops with the branch of RSE “NIIS” of MJ RK (National Institute of Intellectual Property).

Within the framework of the educational project, a training class for students and pupils with a capacity of 14 persons has been opened on the basis of JSC “Chimpharm”. Annually the company accepts more than 300 students from all over Kazakhstan for practice. Students have opportunity to practice at the newest manufacturing sites of JSC “Chimpharm”, in the research and testing center, in the quality control laboratory. Thus, future specialists of the industry get access to the know-how, experience and modern technologies of Polpharma international group.
